1.1 Traveling by plane

The fastest and most convenient way to travel from Bangkok to Koh Phi Phi is to fly to Krabi or Phuket and then take a ferry to Koh Phi Phi.

Step 1:

From Bangkok, you can fly from Don Mueang Airport or Suvarnabhumi Airport to Krabi Airport or Phuket Airport. It takes about 1-1.5 hours. There are many airlines that provide this service, such as Thai AirAsia, Nok Air, and Thai Smile.

Step 2:

From Krabi Airport or Phuket Airport, take a taxi or bus to the designated pier (Krabi Pier or Rassada Pier in Phuket).

Step 3:

Take a ferry from Krabi or Phuket Pier to Ton Sai Pier on Koh Phi Phi, which takes about 1.5 - 2 hours.

1.2 Traveling by bus and ferry

This method is suitable for those who want to save money.

Step 1:

You can take an air-conditioned bus from Bangkok to Krabi or Phuket. The bus journey takes about 10-12 hours.

Step 2:

Once you arrive in Krabi or Phuket, you can transfer to Krabi Pier or Rassada Pier.

Take a ferry to Phi Phi Island.

If you want to be faster, you can choose to travel by speedboat. It takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour to travel from Phuket to Phi Phi Island.

Speedboats are usually operated by tour companies that offer daily packages that include snorkeling and other activities. 

3.1 Traveling by ferry

The main pier in Krabi that provides ferry services to Koh Phi Phi is Klong Jilad Pier. The ferry journey from Krabi to Koh Phi Phi takes approximately 1.5 hours.

The ferry ticket price is around 350 - 500 baht per trip.

3.2 Traveling by speedboat

For a faster journey, you can opt for a speedboat, which takes only about 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Once you arrive on Koh Phi Phi, as Koh Phi Phi is an island that does not allow private cars, the main way to get around is by foot or by long-tail boat to the various beaches.

Long-tail boat: If you want to visit the more remote beaches or beyond the ones that you can walk to, such as Loh Dalam Bay, Loh Bagao Bay or Maya Bay, you can hire a long-tail boat to get around.

Walking: Koh Phi Phi has comfortable walking trails and beautiful scenery. This makes walking a popular way to explore the island’s nearby attractions.
